( Sculpture Object and Functional Art and Design). The exhibition featured works from faculty and students from School of Art, School of Architecture &amp; Interior Design. Exhibition Hall. Navy Pier, Chicago. Nov2-6. 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The installation has three components. Smaller artifacts expand on the notion of architectural structure and collectively create a catalogue of \u201cmisbehaved\u201d tectonics. Larger ceramic and polypropylene prototypes speculate on the role of architectural pleats and on the metamorphosis of two dimensional material to three dimensional form. Several hologram digital models created onsite obsess over the possibility of endless variation through human interaction, the natural versus the artificial, and\u201c the-everything-else\u201d that lies in between.<\/p>\n<p>The project was <a href=\"http:\/\/ming3d.com\/new\/2018\/01\/23\/acadia-2017-exhibition-and-presentation\/\">exhibited at the 2017 ACADIA conference<\/a> and various <a href=\"http:\/\/ming3d.com\/new\/2017\/12\/13\/project-featured-in-mass-media\/\">social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ming3d.com\/VR\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5441.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-370\" src=\"http:\/\/ming3d.com\/VR\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5441-1024x753.jpg\" alt=\"img_5441\" width=\"620\" height=\"456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ming3d.com\/VR\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5441-1024x753.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ming3d.com\/VR\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5441-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Screen capture of animated sculpture with MS Hololens ( Augmented Reality).
